Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate litigation attorney for its Wilmington, Delaware office. This hybrid role requires a civil litigator with exceptional research, writing, and litigation skills to manage a broad spectrum of civil cases.

Duties

  • Manage cases proactively from start to finish in state and federal courts.
  • Draft pleadings, written discovery, and dispositive motions.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal analysis and provide case evaluations and strategy recommendations.
  • Take depositions of key fact witnesses, including plaintiffs.
  • Prepare case updates and handle client communications as requested.
  • Collaborate closely with paralegals to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Ability and desire to manage caseload proactively from start to finish.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to self-manage and work in a team environment.
  • Strong research ability and written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Desire to deliver exceptional client service and contribute to continued client development.

Education

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Delaware.
