Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Real Estate Finance Associate to join its team in New York. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in commercial real estate finance, with a focus on both lender and borrower side representation. This role involves handling sophisticated transactions and working with a diverse client base.

Duties

• Represent clients in senior mortgage loans, construction loans, and mezzanine financing.
• Manage preferred debt and equity investments, and A-Note and co-lender transactions.
• First chair transactions and run deals with team support.
• Draft and negotiate complex financial documents.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.

Requirements

• 4th through 8th year associate class experience.
• Strong drafting and communication skills.
• Motivated to lead transactions independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

• Proficiency in commercial real estate finance.
• Ability to manage complex transactions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Although more commonly thought of as a Washington, DC, firm, this New York office has many of the same practice areas.
