Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its new office in New York City. The role involves engaging in litigation matters within the healthcare and life sciences sectors, providing an opportunity to work on diverse legal issues.

Duties

  • Draft motions in federal and state courts
  • Prepare discovery requests and responses
  • Conduct depositions
  • Participate in arbitrations and government investigations
  • Draft correspondence
  • Negotiate settlements
  • Develop case strategies and assist in trials

Requirements

  • Admitted or eligible for admission in NY
  • 1+ years' experience in federal court litigation preferred
  • Deposition and courtroom experience preferred
  • Experience with government investigations preferred
  • Healthcare/Life Sciences experience or interest a plus
  • Outstanding research and writing skills
  • Minimum law school GPA of 3.0 preferred
  • Willingness to work in the office most of the time

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Certifications

  • Bar admission in New York (or eligibility)
