Liability Attorney

A law firm in Orlando is seeking an experienced Liability Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of liability insurance defense experience and the ability to take cases from inception through trial. The role requires strong litigation skills, including the ability to manage complex cases and work effectively in a flexible, hybrid, or remote work environment. Duties:

• Represent clients in liability insurance defense cases, managing cases from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare and present cases in court, including taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and managing trial preparations.
• Develop case strategies, provide legal advice, and negotiate settlements as appropriate.
• Manage case files using the firm's case management system, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure effective case management and resolution.

Requirements:

• 3-10 years of liability insurance defense experience.
• Proven ability to handle cases from inception through trial.
• Strong litigation skills, including experience with depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to thrive in a flexible work environment with hybrid and remote options.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the state of Florida, in good standing.
