Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Energy Associate in New York, NY, with 1 to 4 years of relevant large law firm transactional experience to join their Corporate Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of experience in energy development and/or energy project finance.

Duties

• Work on energy development and project finance transactions.
• Draft energy-related development agreements.
• Engage with tax equity financing structures.

Requirements

• 1 to 4 years of relevant large law firm transactional experience.
• Experience in energy development and/or energy project finance preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

• Member of the District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, or Texas bars, depending on office location.

Skills

• Proficiency in drafting development agreements.
• Understanding of tax equity financing structures.
