Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney to join its Harrisburg, PA office. The successful candidate will collaborate with shareholders and associates on corporate business, general litigation, and municipal matters, benefiting from a supportive and dynamic team environment.

Duties

  • Provide analysis and counsel to clients on legal policy.
  • Lead clients through the legal process.
  • Anticipate and guard against legal risks.
  • Develop and recommend client policy on legal issues.
  • Conduct and coordinate research to support senior counsel and clients.
  • Represent clients in various legal proceedings.
  • Assist in preparation of expert reports and mediation statements.
  • Draft briefs, discovery, pleadings, and motions.
  • File court documents and adhere to timelines.
  • Prepare for trial, including depositions and discovery.
  • Participate in practice group meetings and professional development initiatives.
  • Author publications for internal or external use.

Requirements

  • License to practice law in Pennsylvania with bar admission in good standing.
  • Degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3-5 years' general litigation experience, federal system preferred.
  • Prior clerkship or trial experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Commitment to professionalism and teamwork.
  • Proactive, client-focused legal services approach.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
