Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its Litigation Department in Los Angeles, CA. This role offers an opportunity to handle complex personal injury cases from filing through trial, working alongside experienced trial attorneys and support teams.

Duties

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Coordinate with clients, experts, and medical providers to develop case strategies.
  • Support and collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients on behalf of the senior attorney.
  • Assist in settlement negotiations and pre-trial preparations.
  • Maintain case files and documentation in compliance with legal standards.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active California Bar license.
  • 1+ years of litigation experience in personal injury or civil litigation preferred.
  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills.
  • Experience handling depositions, mediations, and motion work.
  • Ability to manage a litigation caseload independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Client-centered approach with strong interpersonal communication.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California Bar license.
