Job Title: Probate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a motivated Probate Attorney to support a busy trusts and estates practice. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on both contested and uncontested probate matters. This position is ideal for a licensed attorney with a strong foundation in probate and trust administration who is ready to operate semi-independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload involving probate and trust administration, including contested matters

  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex estate disputes

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents

  • Represent clients in probate court under supervision

  • Communicate with clients, fiduciaries, and other counsel regarding case progress and strategy

  • Ensure all legal procedures comply with the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure

  • Maintain accurate and organized case records

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in probate and trust administration

  • Demonstrated ability to manage case responsibilities with moderate oversight

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team setting

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Arizona Bar membership (required)

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal writing and verbal communication abilities

  • Proficiency in legal research using modern research tools

  • Knowledge of Arizona probate statutes and relevant court procedures

  • Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills

  • Time management and organizational expertise
