Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified associate to join its Private Equity Group in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in asset management M&A, with a focus on GP stakes transactions preferred. They should possess a broad background in corporate and transactional matters.

Duties

• Collaborate effectively in team settings and manage transaction components independently.
• Handle mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, and growth equity transactions.
• Manage venture capital transactions and exits, and equity compensation matters.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and counsel.

Requirements

• Over three years of experience in asset management M&A.
• Proactive with strong business acumen and communication skills.
• Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in Washington, DC.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the resident office's location.

Skills

• Strong experience in GP stakes transactions.
• Ability to manage corporate and transactional matters effectively.
