Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Public Finance Associate with 3-8 years of experience to join its San Francisco, CA office. The role involves handling a wide range of financing matters involving state or local governmental entities, including municipal bonds, tax-exempt or taxable obligations, and public-private partnerships.

Duties

  • Manage municipal bond transactions and other public finance matters.
  • Assist with IRS audits and SEC investigations.
  • Participate in public-private partnership projects.
  • Engage in secondary market repackagings and securitizations.
  • Support bankruptcy and work-out processes.

Requirements

  • Three to eight years of relevant law firm experience.
  • Highly motivated with superior client service skills.
  • Membership in the Bar of a U.S. State.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar membership in a U.S. State.

Skills

  • Strong transactional background.
  • Experience in public finance transactions and securities law preferred.
