A law firm seeks a Senior Professional Liability Attorney for their Accounting Practice in New York, New York. The position is a key leadership opportunity for a seasoned attorney with expertise in defending accounting professionals and firms.

Duties

• Serve as lead counsel in litigation involving accounting malpractice and regulatory compliance matters.
• Advise clients on risk management, ethics, licensing, and internal governance.
• Manage and grow client relationships with a focus on strategic, long-term engagement.
• Collaborate across practice groups to offer comprehensive legal solutions.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Represent the firm externally through thought leadership and professional networks.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 10+ years of experience in litigating and advising on issues affecting accounting professionals.
• Experience representing accounting firms before the SEC, PCAOB, AICPA, and state boards of accountancy.
• Existing portable book of business, preferred.
• Ability to manage complex, multi-party litigation and advise on sophisticated corporate matters.
• National-level experience with class action and multistate matters preferred.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
