Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Associate to join its Business Group in Richmond, VA. This role offers the opportunity to engage in sophisticated transactions and provide strategic legal counsel to a diverse clientele across various industries.

Duties

• Support mergers, acquisitions, asset purchases, and stock transactions from due diligence through closing.
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements and related commercial contracts.
• Conduct and manage legal due diligence and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Advise clients on corporate governance, entity formation, and restructuring.
• Assist with post-closing matters and ongoing corporate compliance.
• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice tailored to client objectives.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Virginia.
• Four or more years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and related corporate matters.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
