Job Overview

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with at least three years of experience handling matters related to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) or state public records acts. This remote position involves representing clients in litigation matters that intersect with medical liberty and civil rights. Location

Duties

  • Manage FOIA and state public records litigation from inception through resolution

  • Develop case strategy, conduct legal research, and prepare filings

  • Draft high-quality legal memoranda, motions, and court pleadings

  • Collaborate with legal teams on case development and client communication

  • Handle court appearances, discovery, and motion practice where applicable

  • Stay informed on changes in FOIA and public records laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience related to FOIA or state public record acts

  • Proven ability to independently manage litigation caseloads

  • Familiarity with complex document review and case strategy related to public access laws

  • Strong interest in civil rights and medical liberty is preferred

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (required)

Skills
