The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil litigation, particularly in contingency fee areas such as personal injury, lemon law, employment law, or landlord/tenant disputes. The firm focuses on representing tenants against slumlords, requiring strong advocacy skills and a commitment to tenants' rights.

Duties:

  • Handle civil litigation cases involving tenant rights, suing slumlords on behalf of tenants.
  • Draft complaints, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Propound and respond to discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in hearings and court proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw or Lexis to support case strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case management and strategy.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
  • 7+ years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in contingency fee areas.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and dedication to advocating for clients' rights.

Education:
