Family Law Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney in Bethesda, MD. The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience representing clients in various family law matters and be eager to engage in complex litigation.

Duties

• Represent clients in family law matters, including separation, divorce, custody, spousal support, child support, and division of marital property.
• Manage contested custody cases and divorce matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle motion hearings, discovery, negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Maintain and manage a high-volume caseload.
• Appear in court regularly and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.

Requirements

• 4+ years of meaningful family law experience.
• Strong litigation and courtroom experience.
• Admission to practice in Maryland and Washington, DC (Virginia admission a plus).
• Ability and willingness to appear in court.
• Strong organizational, communication, and client-management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Maryland and Washington, DC.
