Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior associate to join its Real Estate Finance Practice Group in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, experience in real estate finance law, and excellent writing and communication skills.

Duties

  • Engage in loan origination for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
  • Manage mezzanine loans and preferred equity transactions.
  • Handle asset management and workout processes.
  • Oversee transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.
  • Conduct secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.

Requirements

  • Two to six years of broad real estate finance experience.
  • Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.
  • Ambition, drive, and team-orientation to support a national practice.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.

Skills

  • Superb writing and communication skills.
  • Experience in large law firm environments.
