Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in non-immigrant visas to join their team in Arlington, VA. This position offers a fully remote work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Duties

  • Manage a high-volume caseload of employment-based non-immigrant visas, including H-1B, TN, E-3, L-1, O-1, and associated dependent filings.
  • Effectively manage client relationships and supervise a team of paralegals.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to support client requests and projects.
  • Explain sophisticated immigration concepts and present strategic solutions for clients.
  • Draft and prepare letters and legal documents based on established precedents.
  • Assess and evaluate client's immigrant visa eligibility.
  • Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
  • Utilize web-based immigration case management systems and databases accurately.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of business immigration attorney work experience.
  • Ability to manage complex case strategies with company contacts and clients.
  • Understanding of nuanced and complex immigration law concepts.
  • Ability to review paralegal work product carefully and promptly.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to generate work product with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Outstanding case/project management skills.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Accepts and adapts to feedback regarding work performance.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and case management systems.

Education

  • U.S. Juris Doctor degree (J.D.).

Certifications

  • Member of a state bar and in good standing with the associated state bar association.
