A law firm seeks an Innovation Attorney for its Litigation and Intellectual Property business units, based in Houston, TX, with options for remote work. The role involves supporting the firm's innovation efforts to enhance legal service delivery through people, process, and technology. The position collaborates across various offices and departments, reporting to the Managing Director of Practice Innovation.

Duties

  • Lead projects to optimize client service delivery and increase efficiencies.
  • Coordinate and implement technology integration, including generative AI.
  • Serve as a resource for practice resource questions and technology adoption.
  • Support large litigation teams with matter management and workflow design.
  • Develop client-facing solutions and improve practice content delivery.
  • Educate legal professionals on firm resources and technology initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six years of experience as a litigation or IP attorney in a large law firm.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
  • Proficiency in managing workflows and legal technology.
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited university or college.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice in good standing in a US jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Familiarity with legal technology and AI applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and manage multiple tasks.
