Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Real Estate Associate to join its practice in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience advising clients on real estate matters and will work closely with partners and clients on a variety of transactions and projects.

Duties

  • Represent clients in acquisition, disposition, development, financing, and leasing of real property.
  • Draft and negotiate real estate-related contracts, including purchase and sale agreements and commercial leases.
  • Coordinate and close real estate transactions, including due diligence and zoning analysis.
  • Advise on construction, development, and joint venture arrangements.
  • Mentor junior associates and oversee work streams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of sophisticated real estate practice experience.
  • Experience in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing, and development matters.
  • Prior law firm experience is required; financing experience is mandatory.
  • Admission to, and good standing with, the State Bar of California.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
