Job Overview

A law firm seeks a partner or counsel to join the Energy practice group in Chicago. The ideal candidate will bring a portable book of business and possess experience in FERC regulatory matters, RTO, and transactional work. Lobbying experience is considered but not the primary focus.

Duties

  • Provide legal counsel on FERC regulatory matters.
  • Engage in transactional work within the energy sector.
  • Collaborate with Regional Transmission Organizations.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.

Requirements

  • Experience with MISO, PJM, and/or SPP preferred.
  • Proven track record in energy law practice.
  • Portable book of business required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
