Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Immigration Attorney in Denver, Colorado. This full-time position involves managing a complex caseload in a fast-paced environment, focusing on removal defense and advocating for non-citizens' rights.

Duties

  • Lead representation in Master Calendar and Individual Merits hearings.
  • Draft and file motions, briefs, and evidence packages.
  • Oversee the Special Immigrant Juvenile process, including state court representation and I-360 filings.
  • Conduct client visits at detention facilities and manage bond hearings.
  • Coordinate with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure timely filings.
  • Conduct consultations and maintain communication with clients and families.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Immigration Court and removal defense.
  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. state (Colorado bar preferred).
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Mastery of INA, federal regulations, and BIA case law.
  • Familiarity with Colorado domestic relations/probate court procedures.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
