Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Daphne, AL office. This location specializes in high-exposure premises and mass torts cases, as well as big truck litigation. The role involves extensive discovery, brief and motion writing, report writing, depositions, and court appearances.

Duties

• Manage work independently after training.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to manage a high-exposure practice.
• Write reports and briefs, take depositions, and handle discovery.
• Attend court regularly.
• Engage in trial preparation and trial in state and federal courts.

Requirements

• 3 years of civil defense litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Eager to learn and open to coaching and training.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Alabama.
