BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

The Potomac Law Group is an excellent place to work, according to the reviews. Most of the reviews are positive, citing the friendly management and lack of office politics. Furthermore, the firm offers great flexibility, allowing its employees to work remotely with autonomy to manage their practice as they see fit. The firms leadership is highly supportive, being both responsive and smart. They have a forward-looking approach and are genuinely nice people.

The only downside to working at Potomac Law Group is that, particularly for attorneys who do not have their own clients, the work flow can be inconsistent with no guaranteed compensation. However, the firm does a great job of supporting business development efforts and there is no need to bill many hours to make a nice living. There are no health or retirement benefits and employees need to take initiative to thrive in this model. Isolation can be an issue as the firm only plans regular professional and social get-togethers but it is also important to reach out and make connections.

Overall, Potomac Law Group is a great place to work, with friendly and supportive management, autonomy to manage your practice, and great flexibility. There are downsides, such as inconsistent work flow and no health or retirement benefits, but with the right initiative and effort, this law firm can be a great place to work.

This is a work from home firm, so there is no commuting and more flexibility with hours. Additionally, firm management is very forward thinking and promotes a great work culture. All of my colleagues are wonderful and there is a great team environment.ConsWith the flexibility of the hours, sometimes I work "after hours" but so far this has not happened excessively, and I find it an acceptable trade off for all of the benefits.
