BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

the partners

Naman Howell Smith & Lee (NHSL) is a law firm that has received both positive and negative reviews from attorneys and others who have worked there. On the positive side, the flexibility of the schedule, the great people, and the opportunity to learn are all highly praised. In addition, the insurance and location are also seen as benefits. The support staff is described as very tight-knit and professional, and there is a lot of room to grow, with a high turnover rate. Moreover, employees are trained on policies and provided with snacks and drinks.

However, there are some negative reviews of NHSL as well. For example, there is not much of an office culture, and there is a lack of work-life balance and training. Unrealistic expectations are cited, as well as a toxic environment with no friendly atmosphere, where people are talked down to and there is no diversity. Zero tolerance for mistakes is also mentioned.

Overall, the reviews of NHSL suggest that while there are some benefits to working at the firm, there are some drawbacks as well. For those interested in working at NHSL, it would be wise to take into consideration both the positive and negative reviews before making a decision.

Leadership is "from the front," and often times, the supervisors are the hardest workers at the firm.ConsSo far, I cannot think of a con to share. Work is challenging and expectations are high, but that is to be expected from a reputable firm, given the moral obligation to clients which is taken seriously.
