The salary is competitive with defense firms of a similar size in the same field (insurance/civil defense litigation). The day to day environment is great. People get along, and treat each other with respect and professionalism. In terms of advancement, raises have been fair. There is no set partnership track, but you will have an opportunity to advance, as the vast majority of current partners are homegrown, having once been associates there. The firm also just cut its annual billable requirement by 150 hours, which was a welcome change. I note the "Mad Men" reference in one of the other posts, and seriously question the legitimacy of that post. The firm has multiple female equity partners and female associates, and I have never seen nor heard of anyone being treated with anything but respect. I would certainly recommend Foran Glennon to anyone looking for a good environment, good experience, and solid compensation for the practice area.ConsMake sure you will be comfortable with the firm's practice areas. The firm handles lots of coverage and subrogation work, which might not suit everyone. Also, with a national practice, you can expect to travel a lot, which also might not suit everyone.
