Salary & Benefits
The firm is believed to have a compensation structure somewhat behind the market curve. SNR Denton's starting salary ranges from $104,000 to $160,000, depending on the office. The New York office pays associates at the top of the market. The firm encourages merit-based appraisal system. Under the new three-tier compensation system came into force in late 2009, associate salary will increase once associates meet various merit-based criteria. Bonuses will not be linked exclusively to billable hours, but also to the same merit-based factors that will determine base salary. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, the firm offers discounted health club memberships, a subsidized cafeteria in Chicago, a formal client development budget for all associates, occasional social gatherings, emergency childcare, and free snacks and sodas.
