NOT RECOMMENDED Read More About the BCG Attorney Search Law Firm Ranking System

We do not have confidence in this firm and advise others to steer clear.
Not Recommended law firms may have a history of complaints and negative reviews, possibly making them risky workplaces for associates and other employees. These firms may exhibit toxic work environments marked by a lack of coordination between departments and management, possible political strife, and different problematic dynamics. The management at Not Recommended firms may be unresponsive to concerns about human resources or political issues, leading to high employee dissatisfaction and, in some cases, negative experience. As a result, these firms may be considered undesirable choices for those seeking stable and fulfilling employment in the legal industry. Some law firms ranked Not Recommended or below are done so based on private information possessed by BCG Attorney Search. This information makes us nervous about recommending this firm to others until these issues are corrected.
We have been in this business for 25+ years, have spoken with countless attorneys from this firm, and believe that certain firms (most firms) err on the side of being more positive than negative places to work. There are also firms where the reports from attorneys are more negative than positive and have been for years. This does not mean every attorney has a negative experience at Not Recommended firms, every department is problematical, or every office is. Over time, cultural, management, and other issues result in an overall negative rating. We are careful about making these ratings only when confidential; ongoing adverse reports are confirmed by our experience with the firm and speaking with many attorneys there that seem consistently more negative than positive.

Cons: 1.0 Former EmployeePlease take my advice and don't work here.Jan 26, 2023 - Paralegal ProsAbsolutely none. I truly cannot think of a single good thing to say.ConsEverything. You are incredibly micromanaged while being paid as little as possible. There is no room for growth in the way of salary. They assign enough work for two people and then question why you're using overtime, often in an accusatory way despite the fact you're just trying to do they work that they themselves assigned. They allow bigoted people to work in the office, spewing hate speech and discrimination. When it was brought to their attention they simply wrote it off as a "generational difference" despite the direct negative impact this behavior has on the employees. The environment is toxic and catty. Your coworkers WILL gossip about you behind your back and management does not care, let alone do anything to stop it. PLEASE take my advice and do not work here. I wish I would've listened to the glass door reviews and not taken the interview, let alone the job. It was truly the worst work experience I've ever had.Advice to ManagementYou need to grow and evolve with new generations. WE are the generation working for you. You NEED to meet demands or else your turnover will continue to be 6 months per paralegal. You know who you need to get rid of and there's no good reason you haven't.1.0 Former Employee, more than 1 yearMentally taxingSep 30, 2021 - Litigation Paralegal in New York, NY ProsYou will learn a lot but at the cost of being overworked, unappreciated and under paid.ConsThe firm heavily monitors everything you do on the computer and keeps track of what you're doing every second of the day. They track your phone call history and everyday activity like a hawk. The job will make you feel like you're always behind on work when in reality there is just too much work for one person to handle. If you don't work through lunch or overtime you will fall behind and the firm will call you out on that. Low pay but you make up for it by having to do so much overtime. Not a job for someone with other commitments as you will spend all your time working. You can be the perfect employee but they will forget all of your hard work if you make a mistake. Mentally tolling and anxiety inducing.Advice to ManagementHire more employees, stop micromanaging, stop pushing work onto other people. Learn to appreciate your employees. Many great employees left out of frustration with how the firm operates and treats their employees. Quitting was a relief. I met some great people while working thereParalegal / Receptionist (Former Employee) - New York, NY - June 23, 2017I had the opportunity of playing both roles of a Receptionst as well as a Paralegal. The experience of both roles was great because there was balance. The days when I was doing the Receptionist, I had to answer a multi switchboard which I learned the extensions of the employees quick. The phones were extremely busy so I had to to be fast. The days when I played the Paralegal role, I had t meet a quota of 100 calls and be quick as well. hat wa where the pressure kicked in. The nuumbers were so important in my department.ProsOff on weekendsConsThey do not care about their employees
