Summary
Oblon, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt is a law firm that has been around for a long time and is well-regarded in the legal community. The reviews from attorneys and others who have worked at the firm are largely positive. Employees praise the firm for its excellent benefits and time off, its friendly and easy to work with staff, and its team atmosphere. They also note that the firm has its employees best interests in mind when making decisions about the firm, and rewards and promotes good work ethic.

However, there are some negative reviews as well. Employees complain about the high turnover rate, inadequate training, and feeling undervalued and underpaid. They also note that making a mistake is a quick way to get fired, and that the firm is trying to cover a bullet wound with a bandaid by filling positions with highly under qualified staff.

Overall, Oblon, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt appears to be a law firm that is well-regarded in the legal community and has its employees best interests in mind. However, it also appears that the firm has some issues with turnover, training, and feeling undervalued and underpaid. Pros: 5.0 Current Employee, more than 10 yearsMuch Improved FirmAnonymous Employee in Alexandria, VA ProsThe firm has experienced some dramatic changes over the year which have improved the work environment for all. Several " problem managers/supervisors" all left the firm boosting morale in several departments...long over due. The new managing partner is extremely accessible and shows a sincere concern for all employees not just the professional staff. The firm still faces some challenges moving forward, but the right people are now running the show. These changes now make it easier to move between departments as opportunities as rise. Lots of diversity. The future is bright.ConsThe firm faces the typical issues that firms of this size face. Easy for a few people to get over looked, but HR appears to track situations well.
