Cons
Managing Attorney does NOT know how to run this office. He is a joke. All others in coverage are also a joke. They are rude to employees and expect everything in return.
Staff is over worked and not compensated correctly. Pay sucks.
This is just like a MILL. Stay away!

Pros
Good location in downtown Chicago, some nice attorneys, excellent pay and benefits, hybrid work schedule.
Cons
Incompetent office managers are always chosen from former secretaries, with absolutely no personnel experience. They immediately take the side of the partner who has a big client account, despite the fact that he's a misogynist bully, and they completely ignore other attorneys' input on a situation.
Advice to Management
Hire real HR people and don't overvalue the opinions of the misogynist in the ""corner office"".

Current or former employee?: Former Employee
Last Year at Employer: 2022
Job type: Full time
Cons: Incompetent office managers are chosen from former secretaries, who lack the necessary personnel experience.
They tend to take the side of partners with large client accounts, even if they are bullies or demonstrate misogynistic behavior.
The input and concerns of other attorneys are often ignored.
Suggestions: To improve the firm, it would be beneficial to hire experienced HR professionals and to not give too much weight to the opinions of those who exhibit discriminatory behavior.
