Founded in 1992, Commerce & Finance Law Offices was one of the first-generation private partnership law firms established in China. Headquartered in Beijing, we also have branch offices in Shanghai and Shenzhen. From starting off as a small law office in Beijing, we have gradually grown to become an internationally recognized full-service PRC law firm.
We currently have approximately 300 legal professionals in our firm, of whom about one fourth are partners and senior counsel. All of our attorneys graduated from top law schools in China and abroad. While our practice has diversified over the years, our core practice areas continue to be securities, investment, corporate merger and acquisition, banking and financing and dispute resolution.
Our corporate and commercial practice covers private equity, venture capital, initial public offerings of securities on domestic and international stock exchanges, bond issuances, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, cross-border investment and commercial real estate and financing. We have participated in many landmark state-owned enterprise reorganization and IPO projects that involved legal issues of national significance while also being recognized as a market leader in field of "red-chip" IPO projects. Our firm is one of the most frequently appointed legal advisers in overseas stock market IPO projects, either as the issuer's or the underwriters' PRC legal counsel.
Our dispute resolution team has successfully represented our domestic and international clients in many landmark litigation and arbitration cases. We have argued cases on behalf of our clients before all levels of Courts in China and participated in both ad hoc and institutional arbitrations seated across major jurisdictions, including the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, ICC Court of Arbitration, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, American Arbitration Commission, London Court of International Arbitration and Singapore International Arbitration Centre. Our diligent representation and innovative approach to legal issues involved have produced satisfactory results for our clients.
