Russell Porter, Irv Scott, Ned Weiberg, and John Delehant were successful trial attorneys and partners in well-established Sacramento law firms. But something was missing. Law firms had forgotten that clients should be treated like family and not merely billable hours on a ledger. So, in August 1976, the four founded Porter Scott on the simple concept that service to the client and achieving the best possible result are the firm's highest priorities. Since 1976, we have grown in number, added to our areas of practice, and expanded the range of our representation throughout the state. But we still embrace our humble beginning as a firm of four attorneys and a law clerk by remembering that our relationship with our clients is the most important aspect of our firm. Assisting Carl in governance of the firm are Board of Director members Carl Fessenden, Steve Horan, David Melton and Jonathan Corr.
