Manatt Phelps & Phillips, LLP is an established law firm that provides a positive environment for its attorneys and staff. Reviews from attorneys and others who have worked at the firm are overwhelmingly positive. They report excellent work-life balance, competitive pay, good benefits, and generous vacation policies. The firm has recently implemented a 401k match and allows for remote work a few days a week. The firm also promotes a culture of travel, giving its employees the opportunity to explore the world while still working.

However, there are some areas of improvement for the firm. Workloads can be overly demanding, and there is little support when attorneys or staff attempt to set boundaries. Additionally, diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts are lacking. Furthermore, there is a lack of transparency around pay, with compensation discussed among peers only grudgingly tolerated by management.
