Pros: 5.0 Current Employee, more than 10 yearsA great place to work in operationsAnonymous Employee ProsOne of the best things about Chapman is the people. If you're on the operations side (Human Resources, Marketing, IT, etc.), you will have pretty good flexibility and understanding managers. It is easy to get along with people and they'll defend you if you're doing your job. During the pandemic, Chapman tried its best to keep people and tried its best to let go of as few people as possible. They are also very welcoming if you choose to leave for another job and come back.ConsThis is a law firm. Therefore, there is a sort of hierarchy and while some worker positions may have more influence than others, you are still where you are. Attorneys are at the top and staff are at the bottom. Additionally, there will be limits to how much compensation is, because of how it is a law firm and how large Chapman actually is. Additionally, some managers are more lenient than others, with some allowing for full remote work, some allowing flexible hybrid, and some requiring the recommended number of in-office days. Also, because it is a law firm, there are only so many opportunities on the operations side. For example, because of how small Human Resources is, you might not have the ability to get a managerial position as there would be no one to manage.
