BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

associate level or higher.

Dickinson Wright is a law firm with a presence in three states across the United States: Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee. Reviews of Dickinson Wright from attorneys and others who have worked at the firm are largely positive, with many praising the supportive and family-like atmosphere, great clients, and great attorneys. The firm offers flexible hours, free parking, good benefits, and work from home options, all of which are highly valued by employees. However, there are some negatives. The work-life balance, PTO, and health benefits are not great, and the bonus could be better. There is also an outdated culture and practices, and the firm is not great at recognizing experience or offering competitive salaries. There is also a lack of diversity, with few Black people at the associate level or higher.

Overall, Dickinson Wright is a good place to work if you are looking for a supportive atmosphere and flexible hours. However, the firm could improve upon their work-life balance, PTO, and health benefits, as well as their bonus structure and recognition of experience. They should also work to increase diversity at the associate level and higher.

Cons: Working at Dickinson Wright PLLC is not a good experience. While PTO time is available for personal needs and doctor visits, the workplace is otherwise problematic. Paralegals are not respected and are paid low salaries, and the family law attorneys are notorious for treating staff poorly.
