BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

boarding process was not great.

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton is a law firm that is well-respected and highly-regarded by its clients and employees alike. The firm is known for its competitive workforce, high-quality clients, and intelligent people. Employees praise the collegial office, great leadership, and good pay, as well as the exceptional benefits and working environment. The firm is also known for taking care of its employees, offering fair and average training and nice offices. The pay is also reported to be good.

However, not everything is perfect at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton. The commute can be tough depending on where you live in Atlanta, and the firm staffs very lean, which can leave few resources to handle large projects. Additionally, there can be unclear expectations for partnership and work can be inconsistent. Furthermore, there is little room to advance, although this is expected from a law firm. There is also intense billable pressure and a low work-family balance. Finally, there is a need for more transparency in pay scale for lateral associates and the onboarding process could be improved.

Overall, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton is a firm that is highly respected and offers employees great benefits, a good working environment, and competitive pay. However, there are some areas where the firm could improve, such as the commute, staffing, expectations for partnership, transparency in pay scale, and onboarding process.

"Not the firm it use to be thanks to the millennials" - Anonymous

Advice to law firm management: The millennials are toxic and they have changed the culture in a bad way

Pros: Depends on partner, either way, tiny raises and bonuses for the replaceable cogs aka employees

Cons: I was fired by the firm after 14 and 1/2 years while I was on short term disability, I'm on a cobra for 1 month as it is triple the amount of regular insurance. The old KTS would not have done this to me.
