BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

n't always enforced fairly.

Goldberg Segalla is a law firm that has been around for over 25 years, and is known for its commitment to providing top-level service to its clients. The firms attorneys are knowledgeable and good to work with, and the staff is exceptional. The office environment is casual and flexible work and remote availability are both offered.

However, the firm has been criticized for its focus on expanding the firm prior to the pandemic, resulting in an incredibly high turnover rate. The firms bonus system is subjective and salaries are low, negatively impacting retention. As well, office politics have been an issue, with unfair rules that are not always enforced fairly.

Overall, while the firm offers a flexible work environment and knowledgeable attorneys, it has been criticized for its focus on expansion, resulting in a high turnover rate and unfair office politics. The firm has recently hired post-COVID as it tries to determine its long-term strategy for the future, and its Buffalo office has been praised for being friendly and helpful. The cost for individual health benefits are also unparalleled. While it is unclear what the future of Goldberg Segalla holds, the firm has been successful in providing top-level service to its clients for over 25 years.

Advice to law firm management: Take staff complaints seriously. You have an investigations attorney that disappears daily, never knows what is going on with their cases, pretends to be busy when explaining to clients why they didn't follow through but is really completing home projects, traveling, taking care of their kids, and taking naps.

Pros: Remote

Cons: They don't discipline attorneys who are evidently not good for not only their clients, but the firm as a whole.
