BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

some reason encourages a lot of internal backbiting.

Levenfeld Pearlstein is a law firm with a strong commitment to their employees job satisfaction and well-being. Many of the attorneys have big law pedigrees and the work is of a high caliber and engaging. The firm has a strong team ethic for completing transactions and they put a high investment in their employees, constantly re-evaluating the status quo. The culture has been said to be like no other, with everyone being nice and with free breakfast snacks, breakfast and fruit provided during the week.

However, there have been some criticisms of the firm, including a more virtual work environment that can feel more detached from coworkers, as well as a weird culture that for some reason encourages a lot of internal backbiting. Additionally, there have been reports of the firm selling advancement when few associates have made partner since 2008, and a bullseye system of identifying individuals slated for termination, no matter what. There have also been reports of favoritism amongst employees, with some personnel policies being enforced for some and not for others.

Overall, the reviews on Levenfeld Pearlstein are generally positive, with many employees praising the high investment in employees and the strong team ethic. There have been some criticisms, however, that suggest that the firm is not always fair in their treatment of employees and there is an internal culture that is not always conducive to a positive work environment.
