BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

, so it's a bit stuffy and old-fashioned in some respects.

Ashurst is an international law firm with a presence in the United States, primarily in New York City. Reviews of the firm are mostly positive, with many noting the modern and spacious office in the citys Hudson Yards, the collaborative and mobile working environment, and the friendly office culture. Several reviews also cite a better work-life balance than other New York City firms and a market-leading presence in US infrastructure/project finance and several other sectors. However, some reviews point out the firms size and lack of robustness in the US as a downside, as well as poor management and leadership, unfair promotion practices, and a lack of fairness in the workplace. Additionally, some reviews note a toxic culture among associates, where the most sociopathic associates are able to be ruthless and cruel with no repercussions, as well as a too structured, divisive, and slow-moving decision-making process that is centralized in the UK. Overall, it appears that Ashurst has a strong presence in the United States and is a great place to work for those looking for a modern and collaborative environment.

It really embodies the collaborative and mobile working environment the firm promotes. I'm really pleased.ConsThis is a great place to work and the people are nice. The only downside is our size. We are still small and there are strategic plans to grow and be a more robust US presence.
