BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

ty policy

Foley & Lardner is a law firm established in 1842 with offices in the US, Asia, and Europe. The reviews of the firm from attorneys and other staff members are generally positive, praising the family-oriented atmosphere, open communication, and focus on technology and improvement. Employees have reported feeling respected and supported in their roles and having ample opportunities to learn new procedures and software.

However, there are still some drawbacks to working at the firm. The long 9-hour workdays for assistants hired from 2017 to present can be draining, and the lack of flexibility to work remotely beyond the allowed one day per week is seen as a negative. Additionally, there is no profit sharing, limited vacation days, and other departments are not allowed to work from home. The paternity policy has also been criticized.

Overall, Foley & Lardner is a well-respected law firm, though there is some room for improvement in terms of work-life balance and flexibility. Employees appreciate the supportive atmosphere and commitment to technology and innovation, though some benefits are lacking. With the right attitude and expectations, the firm can be a great place to work.
