BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

The law firm Hughes & Coleman has been the subject of a number of reviews from attorneys and others who have worked at the firm. Generally, the reviews have been positive, with many citing the firm's good pay and excellent benefits and its partial work from home option, depending on tenure. However, there are a number of negative reviews as well, with many employees citing communication issues, a high turnover rate, and low morale. Additionally, there has been criticism of the firm's job security and heavy workload, as well as their PTO policy and ever-shifting metrics.

Overall, it would appear that Hughes & Coleman is a firm that offers a good benefits package and pay, but also has a number of issues that need to be addressed. While there are some staff members that are dedicated to the firm, there are also those who have been with the firm for a long time that are leaving due to the issues mentioned. It is also clear that management is out of touch and that communication is a problem that needs to be addressed. The heart of the issues at the firm need to be addressed in order for morale to improve and for the firm to be successful.

Upper management uses fear to manage employees. It's walking on eggshells everyday. No clear expectations on just about anything. They don't care if you have a family. Terrible PTO and any time off.

How manageable were the hours and expectations at your firm?
NO work-life balance. They work Christmas Eve!!!

What opportunities for advancement or partnership were available?
NONE

Would you recommend this firm to other attorneys?
Absolutely not! Unless you like being mircomanaged and being in a constant state of fear, run from this firm!
