Advice to law firm management: Mentorship is lacking. Communication is close to non-existent. The firm also has no standardization.
Pros: The beginning of my time with the firm was great, people in the firm seemed genuinely excited and interested in helping new associates. I suggest new associates take advantage of this time period to try to cement their status in the eyes of partners.
Cons: JAH holds itself out as a family; perhaps it is a dysfunctional family that plays favorites. Unfortunately, if you are not a favorite child, your experience with the firm will probably be less fulfilling. No symbiotic relationship exists, as it seems that partners are only concerned with the value associates can bring them from day one.
