BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

Gates, Gonter, Guy, Proudfoot & Muen is a law firm that is well respected in the legal community. Reviews of the firm are generally positive, citing its knowledgeable, interesting, often nice people and the opportunity to learn personal injury, insurance defense, landlord-tenant dispute, and slip-and-fall cases. Additionally, the firm offers a stable schedule and good benefits and pay.

However, some reviews are more critical. People complained about the distance of the firm from where they lived, the high workload that could lead to nervous breakdowns, the lack of structured training, and the high turnover of associate attorneys and other staff. Additionally, the computer system is said to need an update, and there is no true HR department, a lack of equal workload distribution, and a vague and ambiguous bonus structure.

Overall, Gates, Gonter, Guy, Proudfoot & Muen is a well-respected law firm that offers many opportunities for learning and development. However, the high workload and lack of structured training may be something to consider for those looking to apply to the firm. Additionally, the lack of a true HR department and equal workload distribution could be a concern for potential employees.

Pros: 5.0 Current Employee, more than 3 yearsGREAT EMPLOYER - ALWAYS GOOD TIMESAttorney ProsThe senior partners here are all experienced trial attorneys and ABOTA members. If you want to learn how to litigate, this is the ideal place to work. Quarterly bonus is probably top 5% out of all OC firms. There is a lot of work which makes the days go by quickly.ConsOffice could be a little more organized - still using old school paper files. It really doesn't matter. These guys are gritty trial attorneys.
