BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

Ballard Spahr is a law firm known for its networking and training sessions, as well as its friendly and professional staff. People praise the work environment, citing that it is flexible and interesting, with smart colleagues. Associates are often provided with tickets to Nationals games, and breakfast on Fridays. Despite these positives, there are a few negatives. Hours can be demanding, and there are exceptions to rules. Additionally, while the pay is good, it may be below market for some. Management is also lacking and there have been instances of a toxic work environment. There have been reports of administrative staff required to work 10-12 hour days, with expected weekend work.

Overall, Ballard Spahr seems to be a great place to work, providing a friendly and professional environment with lots of networking and training opportunities. Despite some of the negatives, such as demanding hours and below market salary for some, the positives outweigh the drawbacks. It is a great place for those looking to further their career in the legal field.
