BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

Saul Ewing LLP is a positive place to work overall, with many employees praising the staff, management, and company culture. The firm puts value on its employees, offering training resources, annual bonuses, and even additional bonuses to staff this year. Additionally, the firm is praised for its great culture, flexibility, and opportunity for growth. However, there are some negative aspects to the firm such as lack of compensation for the work produced, difficulty finding upward mobility, silos, long working hours, and unevenly spread billable expectations. Additionally, there have been some complaints about dead weight at the top and one individual had a negative experience with their manager. Despite this, overall the reviews from employees are positive, with many praising the firms culture and communication, bonus system, and friendly and polite partners.

Advice to law firm management: Take a big step into introduction of customer service and ethics about clarity and transparency

Pros: They have a good reputation but if you are not the million dollar corporation you would talk only with a paralegal with luck

Cons: They have the methodology to avoid mentioning all details to be able to incorporate thousands of extra dollars to charge, always with lack of clarity in all communications, never giving space for client to decide something different even when several alternatives are available. Tricky communication, a nightmare for client. They conviene you with meetings with the most senior lawyers and best reputation ones, and once you pay, never see him again, with luck a paralegal can answer your mails.
