BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

Bernstien Shur appears to be a progressive law firm on the surface, but a closer look reveals a culture that does not meet the expectations of the staff. The firm is run by old, white men, and the HR representative only works in the interest of the attorneys. The staff is expected to work hard with pressure, deadlines, and high performance standards. Furthermore, the benefits and compensation are not equitable, leaving many feeling undervalued and unheard.

Despite the shortcomings, Bernstein Shur does have a supportive and respectful work environment for women and minorities. There is also a good staff morale, and the firm offers excellent health insurance benefits and paid family leave. The workplace is quiet and tight-knit, and there are several events and meetings with food provided.

Overall, Bernstein Shur has some positive aspects to it, but there are clearly some issues that need to be addressed. The firm is not living up to its progressive standards, and the staff is not receiving fair compensation or treatment. It is essential that the firm takes the necessary steps to create a more equitable and supportive environment for all staff, so that everyone can feel respected and valued.
