BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

Aronberg Goldgehn (AGDG) is a mid-sized law firm based in Chicago, Illinois that prides itself on offering its employees a good work-life balance and a friendly culture. Reviews of the firm have been mostly positive, with many stating that the pay is fair and the hours requirement is lower than most other firms. This has led to AGDG being referred to as a Lifestyle Firm, with some partners not believing this to be true. People have also commented that the size of the firm is perfect, being big enough to have diversity in the work, while also small enough to still be able to know everyone.

The only negative review of AGDG has been in regards to the insurance coverage group. This group brought in a partner from Tressler who has been reported to have fired numerous associates and assistants, leading to a revolving door of employees who usually only last one year. It has been reported that this partner has no leadership or interpersonal skills, which has made the experience for those employees miserable.

In conclusion, AGDG appears to be a great place to work for those looking for a good work-life balance and a friendly culture. The only downside to the firm appears to be the insurance coverage group, which has been reported to have an unpleasant work environment due to the lack of leadership and interpersonal skills of the partner in charge.

Pros: 5.0 Current EmployeeProbably the best firm to work for in ChicagoAttorney ProsEveryone here is extremely friendly. The pay is fair and the hours requirement is lower than a lot of other firms. Partners respect your time off and don't expect you to kill yourself. I don't think you'd get better work-life balance at any other firm in the city. The culture is great and the work is high-level.ConsNo huge cons. It's a smaller mid-size firm, so if you're looking for big law this probably isn't for you.
