Abrams Fensterman is a law firm with offices located across the United States. Based on reviews from attorneys and others who have worked at the firm, the overall consensus is that the firm provides a supportive and friendly environment with opportunities for growth and learning. There is a variety of independent work styles, and the firm encourages new ideas and listens to employee feedback. However, there are some drawbacks to working at Abrams Fensterman. It can take a while to receive a raise or title promotion, and communication and job outlines could be improved. Additionally, transitions between positions can be tricky. There have also been negative reviews from employees who have reported feeling mistreated, lied to, and taken advantage of. It is important to note, however, that these reviews are not representative of the firm as a whole, and the vast majority of reviews are positive."Culture at this law firm is not good. How would you rate the overall culture of your law firm?
Culture is not healthy. The unsaid rule is that you show up on weekends and your billable hours are watched very closely.
How manageable were the hours and expectations at your firm?
Workload and billing requirements for associates and partners is a perfect recipe for burnout
What opportunities for advancement or partnership were available?
Promotions were few and far between and the mentality of "you should be lucky you are fully employed so asking for any accommodations is highly unlikely and the expectations continue to grow while compensation and partner status are like a carrot being dangled in from of you.
Would you recommend this firm to other attorneys?
No. There is limited growth potential due to the blatant nepotism that takes place and is highly unfair to all of the attorneys that put in the extra work and don't get recognized.
