But if you can't, you can do nothing about it. So I think that's something I would be okay with. This person asked the same question.
Let me just see here. You can only expect to connect. So, if you can't connect with one person, sometimes the person has an issue. I just think this is important. Sometimes, the person. Has an issue. It doesn't involve you. So it doesn't involve you. So what does that mean?
That means they may want to hire only one person. They may think their job will be in jeopardy if someone else is hired. They may think this is important to understand. So this, again, is another essential question. So why are people Nice to me in interviews? You have to answer the question.
So why would that be? Why are certain people? It could be partners, or associates, partners in associates, or partners. What are those people who could have issues with you? You don't know why, but I'll tell you why some of them. So you may go into interviews, and certain people may need to be more friendly to you.
So what, why is that? Why are people not being friendly to you in interviews? What, what is going on? Like why is an associate not friendly? It can be threatening. They could be threatened. They don't; they are worried that you will take their or their work. They mean meaning they're, they could be threatened.
They could, if they're at your level and you're your level and your senior level and your senior that they couldn't, let me just say you're competitive for partnership, right? Partnership. They could be friends with someone at your level and think they are friends with someone at your level.
And I'm just trying to help you understand all these friends with someone at your level whose job is at risk, right? Who needs to do better? And so they may think if you're hired if you are hired or hired, you can take their job. So that's a concern, right? So they're concerned about that. So all these sorts of things can happen with associates.
You just don't know, or you can have better qualifications, their threat, better qualification. And that's right. And because they think that. Whatever occasion, you don't know, or they may not like them. They may not like the firm, right? They may have bad vibes or whatever and may have bad vibes.
Firm and want to work somewhere else, who knows, or want to sabotage it. You don't know, right? These are things that you just, if someone you don't have a good, you're not connecting, there could be all sorts of things, nothing to do with you. So you don't have to. Worry about this when these, and then with partners, could not want the firm to spend the money because they think others can do it, right?
Firms spend the money because the partners get some of the revenue, right? They may believe that others can do it. They may want to hire people and may want to hire people and the firm. For themselves and not be allowed to until someone was hired because someone else was allowed to, right?
There's another partner, another group partner, whatever it's allowed to hire someone to work with them. All these sorts of things could be happening. Sometimes, the partners may be leaping and want to sabotage the firm. There are fricking reasons that you have no idea. Sometimes, they already have a favorite, both sides.
They already have a favorite someone interviewed earlier, right? So they want to, they just automatically, someone interviewed earlier, and it could be a friend of theirs, you don't know, right? It could be, who knows, earlier for the same jobs; you just don't know. So I'm just, I'm trying to tell you all the reasons you can not connect, trying to tell you all the reasons why you may not get a job when someone else, you're hiring, you're competing with other people, partners, some may not like you, may someone else better.
They may they can be distracted. They, I don't know, just. They may prefer something else to your qualifications. They may not like your law school or whatever. So there's just, I want you to understand all these different reasons that people may not get an offer from a law firm or not connect with people. And it has nothing to do with you.
You can't take a personally if someone is threatened, and you can't take a personally if a partner doesn't want to hire you because it doesn't want the firm to have, wants the firm to save money. You just can't take any of this personally. So you don't have to worry about it. If you don't connect with someone who cares, it's not a big deal.
Anybody that can be distracted, anybody can be distracted, and it just doesn't matter. Don't worry about it. And the final thing I would say to you is that it takes work to get an interview. So let's be clear. But if you don't get a job with one firm, you can probably get a job with another. And it would be best if you didn't worry about not connecting.
