Detach Yourself From Workplace Drama
[00:00:00] I'm practicing at a 15-20 person firm as a summer associate.
Wow.
I often feel frustrated or angry and jealous. When I see other summer associates getting assignments that I feel should be passed on. I feel my supervisor plays favorites with other associates. He might prefer working with women, et cetera. I don't know exactly why but that is dynamic. Is this sick thinking on my part and should I just ignore it?
I recommend just doing your work and not worrying about it and letting your work speak for itself. Sometimes being in the background and not being close is a good thing. Would recommend doing whatever you possibly can to do that.
