Why Do Firms Like Home Relocation
[00:00:00] I'm at a stage in my career where I'm considering moving to my hometown in order to take advantage of better long-term prospects. That's smart. I would like some advice on what are my best options might be in terms of getting a lot from revenue. Okay. So nice thing.
The big thing about home market relocation is you should apply to every firm at once and every firm you would want to. Because you're, finding an option and you want to talk to everyone at once or you want to talk to everywhere at once. You can do the search on your own or you can use a recruiter.
It doesn't really matter. You just need to find all the firms. This is something that I do all the time. It's much easier to get a job when relocating home than it is if you're doing something in your own market. It's a much easier type of search. And, typically, you'll get more interviews and people are more likely to hire you because they're not suspicious. If you're relocating, say you're in Chicago and you're moving firms in Chicago. We think maybe they're moving because things aren't going well at the current firm. So, that's what I would do. The idea is for you to apply to all the places that you'd want to work at. Once you do a lot of research, make sure you find all the firms, and then once you do find the firms, then, make sure that you apply everywhere at [00:01:00] once and then interview with the ones that interview you. Sometimes you can take the job right away. Other times you may not want to, but, just do it that way. That's kinda how I would recommend it. But, I think, a lot of times when people move home, they're very happy. I would say the other reason, there's not a lot of suspicion. They also believe that you will stay. Law firms like it, I think you're going to stay. So, that, can be very helpful.
